Curious Creatures: Frans Post and Brazil opened this week and with it came a host of extraordinary characters who are now inhabiting the Gallery shop.

This week's book of the week is the enchanting Tangleweed and Brine by multi-award winning author, Deirdre Sullivan, with beautiful illustrations from Karen Vaughan.

Tangleweed and Brine is "a collection of thirteen dark, feminist retellings of traditional fairytales that follow in the tradition of Angela Carter; stories from Cinderella to Rumpelstiltskin, tales of mermaids and monsters, are given a unique witchy makeover". This spellbinding collection of stories has already won an Irish Book Award, and The Irish Times Ticket Reader’s choice award for best Young Adult book since its release in 2017.
