Jellett trained under William Orpen in Dublin before moving on to Paris in 1920 with Evie Hone. The friends studied first under André Lhote, and then Albert Gleizes, whose non-representational, highly geometrical paintings proved a strong influence on both artists. Jellett began to analyse rhythm, colour and form in her own work, but also drew on long-standing pictorial traditions. In the mid-1930s she began to use a wider range of colour and produced compositions that were more organic in character.

National Gallery of Ireland Art Prints are the perfect way to have your own masterpiece. Printed on high quality 240gsm Satin paper using Epson Ultrachrome Archival inks, each print have a stated light fastness and image permanence of up to, at least 75 years.
