Monet 'Poplars on the Epte' Silk Chiffon Scarf
Claude Monet (1840-1926) made a series of paintings of poplar trees along the River Epte, not far from his home and garden in Giverny, France. You can see the seasons change in the series painted from spring to autumn, 1891. Featured on this scarf from Fox & Chave, 'Poplars on the Epte', from the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland, shows a blue sky with clouds reflected in the water in Monet's unmistakable Impressionist brushstrokes.
