Also known as the Gnetti Pala, this spectacular altarpiece was painted for display in the Gnetti family chapel in Santa Maria dei Servi, one of Bologna's largest churches. It includes portraits of four young patrons, presumably sons and daughters of the Gnetti, with their patron saints, illustrating the post Counter-Reformation trend of depicting children in donor portraits without their parents.
