Collection: Salvatore of Lucan and Megan Nolan Walsh
The National Gallery of Ireland Shop is delighted to present a special scarf collaboration between artist Salvatore of Lucan and Designer Megan Nolan Walsh.
Created by two old friends from Lucan, this project began as a simple idea to make something together and grew into a pair of striking, limited‑edition designs connected to Salvatore's commissioned portrait of Irish football legend Paul McGrath.
These scarves celebrate friendship, creativity and the joy of making something new together.
About the Artist:
Salvatore of Lucan (b. 1994) is a contemporary Irish artist whose work often reads like a vivid, surreal diary of his own life. Born Salvatore Fullam, he adopted his moniker in 2018 to reflect his Irish and Bangladeshi heritage. His paintings blend humour, sincerity and a touch of melodrama, inviting viewers into moments of everyday embarrassment, tenderness and introspection.
About the Designer:
Megan Nolan Walsh is a Dublin based artist and fashion designer known for blending traditional Irish heritage with vibrant, contemporary club energy. She gained prominence for her handcrafted woven garments- especially her signature Claddagh scarves- and her inclusive designs for all shapes, sizes and the queer community.
