Published in many Irish, UK and US journals, and over a half-a-dozen anthologies, she’s read her poetry all over Ireland, at festivals and on local radio stations. She facilitates workshops for authors of all genres wishing to improve their performance skills.
‘Emma Clohessy’s poems are infused with a vibrancy and emphatic humanity that is truly wonderful to encounter: here is a new poet of love and family, of lyric romance and ekphrastic insight’ Thomas McCarthy, a poet, novelist and critic
‘Emma Clohessy’s poetic sensibility is finely tuned to nature and to the world of relationships; as well, her ekphrastic poems allowing us to accompany her into the creative realms of several painters.’ Deirdre Kessler, author, poet, teacher at the University of Prince Edwaed Island
