The Looking Glass Necklace

LOST FOREST has captured a miniature wild Irish landscape within a magical gilded Looking Glass. The diminutive scene was created by LOST FOREST botanical artist Gillian Corcoran. Each Looking Glass is expertly composed using bird feathers found around the farm and meadows.

Each Looking Glass is completely unique, using a variety of beautiful wild feathers and sparkling gemstones. The final result is a bespoke Looking Glass; a wearable art piece. Each piece that is ordered will be a random selection unless specified by the client.

This is a limited edition Looking Glass collection called the ‘Flight of Hope’ collection. This collection is inspired by the poem by Emily Dickinson, ‘Hope is the thing with feathers’. The poem itself takes the form of an extended metaphor where everyone has a bird caged within them that sings us a kind tune, therefore always reminding us to continue to be hopeful no matter what challenges fly our way…
